This is funny and I even liked Romney’s speech.
The whole “confident independence” of Lutherans thing was somewhat odd. Gene Veith has a thread going about what that was supposed to mean. The response is a mixed bag.

HA HA! I was laughing really hard, and I laughed even harder on Veith’s page.
I had no clue how to fill in the” _____ _______ of the Lutherans.” I thought maybe “Steadfast Confessionalism”…oh well.
