OK, this is just too awesome. This past Sunday at Our Savior we had our annual Patriotic service during which we celebrate Independence day and recognize the sacrifice of all our men and women in the Armed Forces, most especially those that have died in that service.
We always have a picnic afterwards, and this year was no different . . . except we had another invited guest:
Please excuse the amateur video and the shaky camera. I won’t quit my day job. The shrill “woo-hoos” you hear come from me screaming like a girl with giddy excitement.
I thought about using some classical music (Flight of the Valkryes?) for the background, but the guys flying this machine are way too cool for that. Only SRV’s cover of Voodoo Chile would do. Enjoy.

Instruments of death and mayhem landing in your parking lot – how cool! We only got to sing the Star Spangled Banner.

Janky-o:
I wish you could have been there to see that Apache land and to meet the man flying it, Captain Bo Guevara, a member of our church.
You are absolutely correct. It is an instrument of death and mayhem that has been used to defend freedom and liberty throughout the world and makes it possible for us to worship in the places we choose to worship and raise our families in the way we see fit. I am forever grateful for the highly skilled men that fly them and put their lives on the line to protect me, my family, and my country.
God bless them!
