The Archbishop of Canterbury, the head of the Anglican (Episcopal) Church, has declared that the imposition of Sharia law in Great Britain is “unavoidable” and would actually help maintain social cohesion.

He went on to say:

Nobody in their right mind would want to see in this country the kind of inhumanity that has sometimes been associated with the practice of the law in some Islamic states: the extreme punishments, the attitudes to women.

Whew! That’s a relief! But, has someone tried to explain that to the Muslims who would be responsible for enforcing this supposedly kinder, more gentle Sharia law? Something tells me that they will not be quite as meek and mild as the Right Reverend.
